New version of DTS for Windows NT

A new release of the Distributed Transaction System for Windows NT is now shipping.
DTS/WinNT V1.3 is a full-function DTS environment for 32-bit Microsoft® Windows operating
systems, Windows NT 3.5, 3.51, 4.0 and Windows 95.
In addition to the services provided by the previous version 1.2 the new release now
introduces new features like
- Support for WINSOCK 2 communication stack
- Support for multithreaded back-end handler execution for practically unlimited transaction parallelism
DTS/WinNT V1.3 contains support for TCP/IP communications, layered directly on the standard
WINSOCK interface (either 1.1 or 2.2). Via DTS a Windows NT or 95 system can access application services on and
exchange messages with other DTS environments like different UNIXes, VMS, MPE, CICS,
OS/400, OS/2...
DTS/WinNT V1.3 uses the DTS License Authorization Key mechanism. It allows more flexible
distribution of evaluation kits and software upgrades. To submit a request for a free evaluation license,
