A new release of the Distributed Transaction System for IBM OS/400 is now shipping. DTS/OS400 V2.1.0 is a full-function DTS environment for IBM AS/400 hardware (both CISC and RISC processors) running IBM OS/400 operating system V3 or higher.

DTS/OS400 V2.1.0 offers both traditional SNA LU6.2 and TCP/IP communications, layered directly on the operating system services. The TCP/IP support is a desired new feature that allows much more flexible connectivity to the wide range of different DTS platforms, like UNIXes, VMS, MPE and CICS.

DTS/OS400 V2.1.0 contains the new Distributed Status Query utility DTSSTAT. It allows easy monitoring of remote DTS nodes and message flows between systems. Birectional DTSSTAT enables DTS on OS/400 to be remotely monitored as well as DTS/OS400 being used as the front-end for remote status queries.
