A new release of the Distributed Transaction System for HP 3000 MPE/iX is now shipping. DTS/MPE V1.1 is a full-function DTS environment for Hewlett-Packard HP 3000 hardware running MPE/iX operating system 5.0 or higher.

DTS/MPE V1.1 offers TCP/IP communications, layered on the MPE/iX POSIX and IP services. Via DTS a HP 3000 MPE/iX system can access application services on and exchange messages with other DTS environments like different UNIXes, VMS, CICS, OS/400, OS/2, Windows...

DTS/MPE V1.1 contains the new Distributed Status Query utility DTSSTAT. It allows easy monitoring of remote DTS nodes and message flows between systems. Birectional DTSSTAT enables DTS on MPE/iX to be remotely monitored as well as DTS/MPE being used as the front-end for remote status queries.

DTS/MPE V1.1 uses the new DTS License Authorization Key mechanism. It allows more flexible distribution of evaluation kits and software upgrades.
