A new release of the Distributed Transaction System for HP 9000 HP-UX is now shipping.
DTS/HP-UX V3.0 is a full-function DTS environment for Hewlett-Packard HP 9000 hardware
running HP-UX operating system 10.x.
In addition to the services provided by the previous version 2.1 the new release now
introduces new features like
- Strong data encryption support DTSCRYPT as a software option
- Full Year 2000 support without manual intervention
DTS/HP-UX V3.0 offers TCP/IP communications, layered on the operating system IP services.
Via DTS a HP 9000 HP-UX system can access application services on and exchange
messages with other DTS environments like other UNIXes, VMS, CICS, MPE, OS/400, OS/2,
Windows...
The DTSCRYPT strong data encryption support provides DTS transactions and intersystem communication a very secure environment
where business critical data may be transferred as DTS messages over insecure communication
lines safely.
DTS/HP-UX V3.0 uses the DTS License Authorization Key mechanism. It allows more flexible
distribution of evaluation kits and software upgrades. To submit a request for a free evaluation license,
